Template List
A template is created to reflect construction
schedules for a particular plan or model for a community or division,
or for different building processes. The Template Management page lets
you add, change and view construction schedule templates. You can have
as many templates as you want.

When adding a job manually
in BuildPro you will be prompted to select a template. All tasks (along
with their scheduling attributes) will be copied to the job.
When adding a job via integration,
all Memo and Reminder tasks will be copied from the template. Only tasks
in the PO Detail file will be inserted into the job schedule. These tasks
will find a matching task in the template (based on cost code) and will
be inserted into the job schedule. |

Status
If the template status is Under Construction,
the template may have errors that should be corrected before any jobs
are loaded to that template. Edit checks are performed only on the pages
where one of the edit check conditions apply. For example, an edit check
for duplicate cost codes will not be performed on the Update Task Name
page where only the task name can be updated.
The template edit check
looks for these four errors on multiple pages:
To check/view template errors:
On the Template List, Click the Check/View
Errors link next to the template that is Under
Construction. The template edit check runs. If there are no errors,
the template is set to Active status. If errors exist, the Template Edit
Check page opens, detailing each error and what you need to do to correct
it.
Each error description includes a link to the page
that has the error. Right-click the page
link and choose Open in New Window.
That page opens in a separate window.
Make the correction and click the Update
Template button.
Close that page's window and return to the Template Edit Check list of errors.
Repeat steps 2-4
for each template error.
Once you finish correcting all the errors, return
to the Template List.
Click on Check/View
Errors link to run the template edit check. If you corrected all
of the errors, the template status will be set to Active.
